Nuway heavy duty has a closed construction and a level surface for ease of movement of wheeled vehicles. Its heavy duty scraper bars are formed by linking together two specially designed and patented aluminium strips. These are combined with double wiper strips to create a heavy duty mat with a thicker, heavier profile than standard Tuftiguard products.
The heavy duty design mat, also suitable for interior use only, offers more opportunities for colour co-ordination as the wiper bars are offered in a choice of nine standard colours.

There are four different styles of Nuway heavy duty mat to choose from. All heavy duty mats are offered with a closed and double construction in a choice of 12 or 17 mm heights and feature aluminium scraper bars.

Linkages: High tensile steel linkages give the system an engineered, constructional integrity.
Scraper Bars: As the name suggests, scraper bars literally scrape soil from the traffic crossing the entrance system.
Wiper Strips: Prime rubber and polyamide fibre composite provides optimum removal od dirt and moisture.

The role of an entrance flooring system British Standard 7953 Part 5.1
"The entrance flooring system should scrape, wipe and retain soil, making contact with both feet of people entering the building and, in the case of wheeled traffic, with the circumference of the wheels"
British Standard 7953: 1999 states that EFS is necessary in order to:
- Reduce the risk of slip injuries
- Prolong the life of the interior floor finish
